This is the first episode where I invite three of my clients to speak about how they separated themselves from emotional, and for some, physically abusive relationships. There were commonalities in these relationships including the need for control and the lack of responsibility their spouses took in order to look inside themselves and their contributions towards the break-up.  

I congratulate these women on their courage to stand up for what is right for themselves and their children, and to tell their stories in the hope to help others who have found themselves in similar situations.
